MANITOWOC, Wis. — Manitowoc police are seeking homicide charges against a man accused of shooting and killing his younger brother over the weekend.

A 65-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting Sunday morning that left his 62-year-old brother dead.

Investigators say the brothers lived together in a house they'd owned for a few weeks. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday but a preliminary investigation suggests the victim died of a single gunshot wound from a 20-gauge shotgun at close range.

Police Chief Tony Dick says police were aware that the brothers had an ongoing dispute about money, finances and the estate of their deceased parents.

Police are recommending charges of first-degree intentional homicide.
