A 21-year-old man who was shot two weeks ago in a north Minneapolis business district has died, and the shooter remains at large, authorities said Monday.

Kevin M. Braziel, of Minneapolis, was shot numerous times on June 24 in a parking lot in the 2100 block of W. Broadway, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office and police.

Braziel died Saturday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, the medical examiner's office said.

Police are investigating what led to the shooting. No arrests have been made, said police Sgt. William Palmer.

A man working inside a café across the street was grazed on his nose by a bullet, a witness said Monday.

Elarabi Abdelmotagalli, 34, of Columbia Heights, was working at the Olympic Café, when he was "scratched" by the bullet, said Mohamed Sultan. Sultan was also working at the cafe and is Abdelmotagalli's cousin.

"We were working and heard the shot outside," Sultan said. "The bullet came through, and everyone in the [café] ran to the back."

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police Sgt. Emily Dunphy at 612-673-3357.
