Man shot dead in north Minneapolis

A man was fatally shot inside a residence in north Minneapolis on Sunday evening, and investigators are seeking information in the case.

A man was fatally shot inside a residence in north Minneapolis on Sunday evening, and investigators are seeking information in the case.

Police responded to a call of shots fired about 7:20 p.m. in the 3500 block of Emerson Avenue N., where officers found a victim with several gunshot wounds.

Paramedics took the man to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, where he died from his injuries.

No one has been arrested. Police asked that anyone with information text TIP411, enter MPD, a space, then the information, or call the police tip line at 612-692-8477. Texts are anonymous.

The Hennepin County medical examiner will release the man's name and the official cause of death when the information becomes available.
