Man's body found under Franklin Avenue bridge

Authorities pulled the body of a man out of the Mississippi River near the Franklin Avenue bridge at midday Saturday.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, a passerby spotted the body in the water under the bridge at about noon.

The Sheriff's Office, along with the Minneapolis police and fire departments, responded. Sheriff's personnel recovered the body.

The Sheriff's Office, Minneapolis police and the Hennepin County medical examiner are investigating.
