December 14, 2017 at 3:07AM

Maplewood police don't suspect foul play in the death of a man whose body was found in a city park Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to Battle Creek Park by a passerby who spotted the body around 8:30 a.m.

Late Wednesday, police said on Twitter they believe the death is related to hypothermia.

"We are still in the process of confirming his identity and notifying family," police said.

Police and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The Ramsey County medical examiner's office was planning an autopsy.
