St. Paul police have arrested a man who drove a car through the walls of an apartment building and into a stairwell.
No one was hurt in the incident near the Sun Ray Shopping Center, said Watch Commander Steve Frazer.
The man rammed the car into the brick building at 2150 Wilson Av., shortly after 9 p.m.
As residents gathered at the crash scene, police arrived and chased the man on foot and caught him just north of the shopping center, which is near I-94 and McKnight Road, on the border of St. Paul and Maplewood.
The man was being taken to jail about 10 p.m. Police suspect he may have been drunk.
