A man is missing after a boat accident early Sunday on the St. Croix River near Bayport, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.
The single-boat accident was reported about 2:50 a.m. Two people, a man and a woman, were on the boat when it began to take on water and became partly submerged.
The woman made it to shore and was not injured. The man has not been located. The Sheriff's Office is searching for the man in the water and on land, authorities said. No names have been released.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
