The shooting death of a man in his St. Cloud apartment is being characterized by authorities as a probable homicide.

Keita Keletigui, 37, was found dead late Tuesday morning by officers who were called to the apartment in the 1200 block of Division Street E. on a report of an unresponsive male.

Police found no signs of forced entry at the apartment on the city's east side, police said in a statement Wednesday. No arrests have been made.

Keletigui was featured in a St. Cloud Times report that detailed his emigration from Guinea to attend St. Cloud State University. In 2011, he opened Kilimandjaro Market on the southeast side of St. Cloud. He said he opened the grocery because he missed the food of his native continent.

Keletigui was found dead three days shy of his store's fourth anniversary.

"I don't know what the future holds," Keletigui told the newspaper last fall. "I take it day by day. So far I'm here, and I like running my business here."
