A man was found dead Wednesday behind a Target store in south Minneapolis in what police are treating as a suspicious death.
A passerby reported an unconscious person, located in a grassy area behind a back alley at 2500 E. Lake St., shortly before 9 a.m., police said.
Authorities arrived and found a deceased man.
Police spokesman John Elder said the man "met up with some sort of violence," but he offered no other details.
Police are interviewing people in the area and have found possible witnesses.
Authorities are also trying to determine if there is surveillance video of what happened.
