Man fatally trapped in hay baler in western Wisconsin

The 67-year-old man was from Menomonie.

A man working on a farm in western Wisconsin got trapped in a hay baler and died, authorities said.

The incident occurred midafternoon Monday on the property in the 6900 block of 513th Street in Menomonie Township, according to the Dunn County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responding to the scene found the man's body in the baler.

Authorities identified the victim as Danny Eckert, 67, of Menomonie.
