Man drowns at community pool in Forest Lake

A 74-year-old man from Stacy, Minn., was found unresponsive at a community pool in Forest Lake Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

At 2:52 p.m., Forest Lake police, firefighters and North Memorial ambulance wcrewsere called to Southwest Junior High at 943 9th Av. SW. for a possible drowning at the community pool there, according to a news release from Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency personnel arrived and took over resuscitation efforts from school staffers. The man, who has not been identified, was removed from the pool and was unresponsive. Efforts to revive the victim were not successful, the news release said.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating.
