A 48-year-old man was stabbed to death early Sunday at a house in the 7300 block of 12th Avenue S. in Richfield, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 caller who reported an assault in progress at 4:53 a.m. Three people were in the house. One, the victim, had "multiple puncture wounds," police said. Officers, rescue personnel and Hennepin County medical personnel performed first aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name is not being released.
Two people were taken to the Richfield Police Department for questioning. One was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries and is being held for questioning.
Richfield police said they are not looking for any additional suspects and that there is no danger to the public. More information is expected to be released Monday.
