A man walking across a highway south of the Twin Cities shortly after sunset was hit by two vehicles and killed, authorities said Monday.
The incident occurred about 6:05 p.m. Sunday on Hwy. 52 near County Road 24 on the southern edge of Cannon Falls, the State Patrol said.
Killed was Patrick E. Daly, 42, of Stewartville, Minn. He was dead at the scene, roughly 50 miles from his home, the patrol added.
The two drivers who hit Daly were not injured.
Daly was crossing the southbound lanes of Hwy. 52 when he was first struck by a car driven by Jeremiah A. Wint, of St. Francis, the patrol said. Daly was then hit by a car driven by Michele L. Sosnoski, of Eagan.
