No matter what happens on Election Day, some seasoned folks are prepared to tell you what it meant.

Bright and early on Nov. 3, former U.S. Rep. Vin Weber, a Republican, and Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher, will appear with University of Minnesota professor Larry Jacobs to "dissect the results" of the voting in Minnesota and the county. The free event will be from 8 am to 9:30 am in the Cowles Auditorium, 301 19th Avenue South in Minneapolis. For more information go to: http://bit.ly/927GGZ

The Minnesota Government Relations Council will wait until Nov. 9 -- a week after the election and, crucially, after the planned state House and Senate leadership elections, to hear speculations on what's next. That event, which will feature caucus leaders, costs $25 for members of the government relations council and $30 for non members. It will be held at the Happy Gnome in St. Paul. On Nov. 12, the Twin West Chamber of Commerce will examine the election results and its impact on the "business community and the state" with three political commentators. The event, at the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis in St. Louis Park, has a $30 charge for members and $40 charge for non members and the chamber says, "advance registration recommended."
