An Excelsior homeowner is alarmed by cars racing down the road that he and his neighbor have to cross to get to their mailboxes. When he complained to the postmaster, he was told that the box couldn't be moved to the other side because the truck would have to make a U-turn to get to it.

He was especially concerned after hearing about a 76-year-old Jordan woman who died last month when she was struck by a car while crossing the highway to her mailbox.

"I do have a 64-year-old neighbor who makes the trip across the road every day! Now that the snow and ice is here, it is doubly unsafe," he wrote. "I like my neighbor and would hate to see her hit by a car."
