Madonna, you've just won rave reviews for your Super Bowl performance. What are you going to do next?

Go on tour, of course, with a stop in the Twin Cities for a performance on Nov. 3 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. She last performed in St. Paul in 1987 — or six tours and eight studio albums ago.

The 53-year-old pop icon announced overnight that the Madonna 2012 World Tour would begin May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel. After 26 shows abroad, she will play 26 North American concerts, beginning Aug. 28 in Philadelphia. The tour will include stadiums, arenas and Hyde Park in London. She also will perform in South America and Australia.

The concerts will promote Madonna's new album, "MDNA," which will be released on March 26. Last week, she issued her new single, "Give Me All Your Luvin," which she performed at the Super Bowl halftime on Sunday with guest stars Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. (who created a stir with a middle-finger salute, for which NBC and the NFL have apologized).

Madonna ranks behind only the Beatles among Billboard's most successful singles artists. She has scored 12 No. 1 pop hits (most recently "Music" in 2000) and 39 No. 1 dance tunes (most recently "Celebration" in 2009). She has sold more than 300 million albums worldwide (64 million in the States) and earned seven Grammy Awards. Her last concert trek was the Sticky & Sweet Tour in 2008-09.

Tickets for the St. Paul concert will go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 27 at the Xcel box office, livenation.com, ticketmaster.com and 1-800-745-3000. Fan club members will have first access. For information, go to madonna.com. U.S. residents who order tickets online will receive "MDNA" — either a physical CD or digital copy
