Tasha Humphrey, a 6-3 center waived last week by the Washington Mystics, was signed Friday by the Lynx, who then waived center Christi Thomas.

Humphrey, Detroit's first-round pick in 2008, played for the Shock and the Mystics last season and finished fifth among WNBA rookies with an 8.3 scoring average. The four-time All-America at Georgia averaged 2.2 points in nine games with Washington this season.

Thomas, another former Georgia standout, appeared in 11 games for the Lynx this season.
