Lucia still tinkering with lines

For the third time in as many games, Gophers coach Don Lucia has juggled his lines. In the biggest eye-opener, Jordan Schroeder moves from center to left wing on the first line, switching spots with Mike Carman.

The Gophers lines for the home opener vs. Denver on Friday:

First line/ Mike Carman with Jordan Schroeder and Jay Barriball

Second/ Patrick White with Mike Hoeffel and Ryan Flynn ... no changes there from last game

Third/ Nico Sacchetti with Tony Lucia and Taylor Matson ... Matson replaces Jake Hansen, who is not in the lineup

Fourth/ Zach Budish with Joe Miller and Josh Birkholz ... Budish moves from wing to center. Birkholz back in lineup after sitting out one game.

Defensive pairs ... There are all the same

First/ Nick Leddy and David Fischer

Second/ Cade Fairchild and Aaron Ness

Third/ Seth Helgeson and Kevin Wehrs

Goalie ... No early word. My educated guess is Alex Kangas.
