If you don't have access to the streaming audio, allow us to do the work for you: Patrick Reusse is slated to have Gophers football coach Tim Brewster on the air shortly after noon.

It could be special. It's will almost certainly be worthwhile. We'll be here with updates to the segment until it's over.

12:10 p.m. update: Off to a great start ... they accidentally hung up on Brewster before he got on the air. At least we can only assume it was accidental. And then, after getting Brewster on and about a minute of pleasant back-and-forth, we lost the live stream for about 30 seconds while it was interrupted by some sort of advertisement. But it's back now. So far, everything seems pleasant enough.

12:20 update: All pleasant so far. Standard fare questions about recruiting and such. Most interesting thing from Brewster so far (aside from using Reusse's first name in just about every answer): Talking about recruiting, he said pinpointing the person in a recruit's life who is most prominent in the process of choosing a school "gets harder and harder today. There are so many different people trying to get involved and steer them."

Brewster is sticking around for another segment, which is about to start.

12:30 update: It just ended.

The funniest things -- Reusse asked about Brewster's impression of how seriously local fans take rivalries with Wisconsin and Iowa. A portion of Brewster's answer: "It's a lot like the feelings of you for me and me for you. Whenever there is passion, that's a good thing."

And Reusse's last question, a nod to the testy relationship between the two in the past and the very pleasant nature of the interview: "Is there hope for Palestine and Israel now?" Brewster played along, professing admiration for Reusse's long history in Twin Cities media and ending with this: "I know deep down in your heart, Pat, you are a Gopher fan."

So: No fireworks. A pretty basic interview. A couple of funny moments. But perhaps it will lay the groundwork for more to come.
