A life-size Barbie Dreamhouse, 30,000 square feet of worship to the most famous fashion doll of all time, will soon be open to visitors young and nostalgic in the Mall of America.

Drenched in pink and designed with more than 20 pounds of glitter, "Barbie, The Dreamhouse Experience" will feature an "endless closet displaying outfits from some of her 130+ inspirational careers," the mall said in a statement Monday announcing the attraction.

The Dreamhouse, which will be equipped with pink elevators, will open in early spring and will be located on Level 3 in the mall's southeast corner for at least two years. It will be part of the 65,000-square-foot EMS Entertainment Center, which will feature three spaces for rotating exhibits.

Also included in the Dreamhouse will be showcases displaying 350 Barbie collector dolls as well as animation, photography and interactive games that incorporate Barbie's best friends, family and pets.

"It's like walking into the Barbie world," said mall spokeswoman Sarah Schmidt.

Not surprisingly, fans can buy Barbie dolls and other items at the Dreamhouse boutique. That includes the Barbie Dreamhouse Doll only available at this exhibit. A Barbie Cafe will serve snacks and beverages.

The Dreamhouse, which is currently at a mall in Sunrise, Fla., and was on display earlier this year in Berlin, was inspired by the house in the popular web series, "Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse."

The Berlin exhibit drew protests from women's groups who said it reemphasized the sexist notion of a woman's role in society.

General admission tickets to visit the Dreamhouse go on sale starting Dec. 2 for $23.99 ($16.99 for seniors; visitors 2 and under are free).
