I feel the need to write the Star Tribune annually to weigh in on our state's drivers. Specifically, why do slower drivers feel the need to drive in the left lane? The far left lane is designed as a passing lane to allow those driving faster to pass slower vehicles. Especially annoying are those drivers who will not yield to faster vehicles and drive side by side with other vehicles, not allowing faster traffic to flow. Recent ads by the State Patrol target aggressive drivers. It's my belief that aggressive driving is a direct result of the actions of those who fail to abide by the simplest of courtesies. Move over if you are driving slower. Being a courteous driver will diffuse aggression on the roadway.
