An April 11 Star Tribune article stated that "Crayola is announcing newly named colors for the 50th anniversary of its 64-count box." It went on to say that "the names were determined with input from nearly 20,000 kids." They are Super Happy, Fun in the Sun, Giving Tree, Bear Hug, Famous and Best Friends, corresponding to what we know as yellow, orange, green, brown, hot pink and purple.
Our young generation continues to amaze and refresh us all through their clearer unsullied imaginative eyes. Their apt descriptions should be a lesson to all of us who learned to "stay within the lines."
