Getting dental care for your children when they are on state medical insurance is no picnic ("Minnesota children's dental care needs a brush-up," Feb. 2).

I'm the mother of two children with serious medical issues: Both have had heart transplants.

We rely on MinnesotaCare to provide insurance for our children, and we do pay a monthly premium for this. Trying to find a good dentist that will take the coverage provided by MinnesotaCare is just about impossible.

My kids deserve good dental care just as much as the next child. I'd be more than willing to bring them to the dentist, if I could find one to take my insurance.
