Letter of the day: A little chest thumping before the big game in the Big Easy

"Who dat?" "Dat" is the Vikings coming down to New Orleans to kick butt! JUDY SIGELMAN, GOLDEN VALLEY

••• The Vikings were "road warriors" in 1000 A.D. Why not now? JIM BARTOS, BROOKLYN PARK

••• I've been a New York Giants fan for 50 years, but I've also rooted for the Vikings since 1968. Nothing sticks in my craw more than the 1975 NFC playoffs when Dallas cheated its way to the championship game with that push-off at the goal line. And nothing gives us Giants fans more pleasure than to see Dallas eat crow. In fact, we're all kind of gratified that the Vikes put a lid on any attempt by Dallas and the bandwagon media to resurrect that "America's Team" garbage with a win. And what a beating the Vikes put on those little 'Boys. RICHARD REAY, NEW YORK

•••

I see the Dallas Cowboys are a little upset about that last-minute touchdown that the Vikings scored on them. Let's just call it "one for Nate Wright," and let them stew about it for 34 years. ALBERT LONG, CRYSTAL

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020.
