Let's try this walks thing again.

Twins pitchers still an awful walk pace.

May 11, 2011 at 5:47PM

My apologies for being an idiot last night.

The Twins have played in 34 games, not 24. That greatly affected my walk projection after last night's game. The Twins pitching staff entered today on pace for exactly 600 walks this season. Still a bad total but not as historically horrible as I made it look.

Only three Twins teams have walked 600 or more batters in a season, so they are on a dangerous pace.

As I write this, Scott Baker has walked two batters (with two outs) in the first inning, and Detroit leads 1-0.

Once again, sorry for miscalculation.
