After showing off her new, slicker choreographed stage production at KDWB's Jingle Ball last Friday, pop-punk starlet Avril Lavigne will try to fill Target Center all on her own when her "Best Damn Tour" arrives March 20. The concert's announcement was held off until Monday to avoid spoiling Jingle Ball's ticket sales any more than Kanye West's cancellation did. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for $37.50 and $27.50. Posterboy emo band Boys Like Girls will open.
Also, two newly announced concerts for country music fans: Dolly Parton will perform at Northrop Auditorium on Feb. 28 (on sale Monday , $47-$85), and husband/wife duo Steve Earle and Allison Moorer will be at the Pantages Theatre on March 10 (on sale Saturday, $28.50-$33.50).
