Ghosts and ghouls, you have less than a week to get your act together. Maybe you'd rather be a witch? Or a superhero? Maybe you have no idea?

Pinterest, the social network for all things DIY, has pulled together dozens of costume ideas, handy for the Halloween procrastinators among us. The "Homemade Halloween" pin picks aim to be a "a no-excuses guide to last-minute costumes."

Featured pins offer instructions on everything from turning your kid into a ninja turtle with a painted roasting pan shell to creepy fanciful sugar skull makeup tutorials. If you can get your cat to sit still, it'll even show you how to dress kitty up like a sushi roll.

What's popular? According to Pinterest's top costumes of 2014, lots of superheroes, zombie makeup and t-shirts cut to look like skeletons.

So get out the makeup and the hot glue gun. Pinterest's got you (and the kids and the dog) covered... as long as you avoid the dreaded #PinterestFail.
