Lakeville North boys' hockey player Brady Skjei, who helped the Panthers to the Class 2A state tournament, has accepted an invitation and will head to the U.S. National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich, his mother, Michelle, confirmed Wednesday. Skjei had 28 points as a sophomore defenseman this past season.
Another sophomore, Apple Valley's A.J. Michaelson, is still mulling an invitation from the USNTDP, his coach, Jerry Hayes, said in an e-mail Wednesday. Michaelson, a forward, had 18 goals and 16 assists this past season.
