Cousins Subs eyes expansion Cousins Subs, a sandwich chain based in Menomonee Falls, Wis., is looking to expand into several Washington County cities next year.

Mark Cairns, director of franchise sales, identified Cottage Grove, Hastings and Woodbury as communities that could have two or three new Cousins Sub shops open as early as next spring.

The company has approached one of its existing franchise owners in the Twin Cities about expanding, he said, but would be open to accepting new franchise owners as well.

Plan targets key development sites The City Council adopted a two-to-three-year Economic Development Strategic Plan written by the Economic Development Commission and the Economic Development Authority.

The goal of the plan is "positioning Woodbury as the East Metro's Premier Location for Business and Community Vitality."

The eight-page plan identifies the Medical Campus District, the Northeast Business Park and the vacant State Farm campus as locations key to development and redevelopment.
