KSTP's Bill Lunn went national Wednesday--but not in a way newscasters like to be recognized.

During Tuesday night's evening news, Lunn teased to a story about a school debating whether or not to continue to do the Pledge of Allegiance."

His line was supposed to be: "I pledge allegiance to the flag."

Instead he said: "I pledge allegiance to the fag."

He quickly corrected himself.

The error might have gone largely unnoticed except for the topic of the next piece: The Gay Pride Parade.

Ouch.

Lunn appeared to have a good sense of humor about the mistake. He later tweeted that it was an "unfortunate slip" that will guarantee he makes the KSTP year-end blooper reel.

Check it out for yourself. Harmless or hurtful?
