Sen. Amy Klobuchar continues to build her campaign war chest in 2011, raising $1 million in the third quarter with more than $4 million in the bank, her campaign announced Friday.

The Minnesota Democrat's $1 million haul puts her at $5.8 million raised this year. Detailed campaign finance reports are due to the Federal Election Commission on Saturday.

Klobuchar's two declared Republican challengers, 2010 Secretary of State candidate Dan Severson and St. Bonifacius City Council member Joe Arwood, have not filed third quarter fundraising reports with the FEC.

Arwood may not file this quarter because he submitted his candidacy papers with the FEC on Oct. 4, which was after the Sept. 30 third quarter deadline. Severson raised $3,700 in the second quarter.
