Sen. Amy Klobuchar raised $1.1 million in the second quarter, building her campaign war chest to $3.3 million, spokesman Justin Buoen said Tuesday.

Klobuchar's campaign released its top-line fundraising numbers from April-to-June ahead of the Federal Election Commission's July 15 second-quarter deadline, when detailed campaign finance reports are due.

The fundraising total matches her first quarter figure, when Klobuchar brought in a little more than $1 million. She had $2.4 million cash on hand at the end of March, meaning she added about $900,000 to her campaign account over the past three months.

The first major Republican challenger to declare against Klobuchar, Dan Severson, has not filed his second-quarter FEC reports yet.
