DFL-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Margaret Anderson Kelliher Monday will announce that she's won the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters nod in her fight for nomination.
She'll make the announcement at a campaign stop in Duluth Monday afternoon.
The carpenters union was the earliest union to endorse in the race for governor. Last spring, it announced it would back state Sen. Tom Bakk, a retired union carpenter and former union staffer, even before he officially cast a bid for governor.
Although he eventually waged a serious bid for DFL endorsement, Bakk, of Cook, dropped out of the race in March of this year.
