Good morning, commuters!

The overnight snowfall was a paltry amount by weather standards, but for commuters, it's been just enough to slicken up the roads. Mainline roads are mainly wet, but there are snowy and slushy spots to look out for.

Off the highways and freeways, use caution. The scanner is alive and well with reports of vehicles sliding into the ditch, especially in the outlying suburbs and exurbs.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
