Good morning, commuters!

Tuesday is off to a bad start for Northstar riders. Track issues on the north end of the line that runs from Big Lake to Minneapolis is what Metro Transit says is making the first inbound run 25 minutes or more late.

On the roads, some overnight road work is still in progress on southbound 35W at County Road 42 in Burnsville and on northbound 494 in Plymouth. Both of those projects should be wrapped up before too long.

Southbound Hwy. 252 is also reduced to a single lane for paving operations. That is supposed to be complete by 6 a.m.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
