Good morning, commuters!

The roads are dry for now as the advertised winter storm has yet to arrive. So enjoy the decent pavement conditions while they last.

For drivers on northbound 35W, the left lane is closed at Hwy. 13 as MnDOT finishes some overnight road work. Lanes on Hwy. 13 between Washburn Avenue and 35W also are reduced. The work should wrap up by 6 a.m.

Metro Transit says the first inbound Northstar Commuter run is delayed by 30 minutes due to heavy freight traffic. Buses will be available to transport riders, the agency said.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
