Keeping tabs on Friday's morning commute

Roads are dry this morning, and with cooler weather moving in, hopefully we won't have any road buckles like the one that happened on I-494 in Richfield Thursday.

Good morning, commuters!

One thing we have to look forward to is that cooler and drier air that is supposed to arrive just in time for the weekend. And no rain with it, so roads will remain dry and hopefully no road buckles like we had yesterday afternoon on I-494 in Richfield.

This morning we do have a few places where overnight road work has not wrapped up:

Southbound Hwy. 169 at Pioneer Trail

Northbound Hwy. 169 at County Road 101

Eastbound 494 at France Avenue

Westbound 494 at Lyndale Avenue.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
