Afternoon.

For the first time ever, I beat the Wild home. The Wild practiced this morning in Calgary and are about to fly home.

As I wrote in today's paper, Matt Kassian better get used to shuttling back and forth between the Wild and Aeros as the team tries to keep him away from that 10-game, 30-day waiver threshold. Kassian's been reassigned -- for now.

Kassian's one of the most intelligent hockey players I've ever talked to. I'm assuming after six years flying commercial in the minors, he's signed up for all the frequent flyer programs. By the end of this season, he may be able to bring his whole family to Europe -- first-class.

This leaves the Wild with 11 forwards. Via email, GM Chuck Fletcher said the coach is still debating tomorrow's lineup vs. Phoenix. Either they'll call up a 12th forward, dress seven defensemen or perhaps Chuck Kobasew returns from a groin injury. But yesterday, coach Todd Richards said Kobasew was still feeling a little something when he extended his leg during his stride.

That's it for now. Everybody practiced in Calgary today, I'm told.
