Teammate Andrew Wiggins has five of 'em and now Timberwolves rookie Karl-Anthony Towns has started what might become a collection of his own by being named the Western Conference's Rookie of the Month for October and November.

He was awarded that by the NBA Thursday by the NBA, which also named New York's Kristaps Porzingis the same for the Eastern Conference.

Past Wolves players who have received the honor: Wiggins, Gorgui Dieng, RIcky Rubio, Kevin Love, Randy Foye and Stephon Marbury.

Towns led all rookies in rebounding (9.4), blocked shots (2.18), field-goal percentage (52.6) and free-throw accuracy (86.7) and was second in scoring with a 14.4 point average.

"Just a testament to the work I put in over the summer, to come out starting hot but it's just one month," Towns said. "We just have to put a lot of work together not to have just one Rookie of the Month award but just to have a great team record and have the season that we imagine ourselves having."

Wiggins has five Rookie of the Month awards from last season -- March was the only month he didn't win -- that he keeps together on a shelf at home.

Asked if Wiggins gave him an advice for their care and keeping, Towns said, "I guess dust 'em off."
