FX has secured worldwide television rights to "Jurassic World" and other hit 2015 films, the cable network announced Monday.
The Universal film became the biggest film opening of all time both domestically and globally, taking in $208.8 million in the US to topple 2012's "The Avengers," which bowed to $207.4 million, and taking in $524 million worldwide, soaring past "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'" $315.3 million.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard star in the reboot/sequel to Steven Spielberg's 1993 groundbreaking thriller set at an amusement park featuring real dinosaurs who go on the rampage after a power failure is triggered.

In the update, directed by Colin Trevorrow, a dinosaur hybrid bred to be a monster is accidentally let out of captivity, setting off a series of catastrophic attacks on the park's guests.
Other record breakers and surprise hit films of 2015 which will make their cable debut on FX include "Furious 7," "Pitch Perfect 2," "Taken 3" and "Kingsman: The Secret Service."
