STANLEY, Wis. — A judge in Winnebago County has approved the sale of an ethanol plant in Oshkosh to a company in western Wisconsin.

Ace Ethanol of Stanley wants to buy the Utica Energy plant for $16½ million. The deal must be approved by shareholders at a meeting later this month. If that happens, production could begin at the Oshkosh plant around harvest time.

WQOW-TV (http://bit.ly/12IRfsW ) says the plant produces about 50 million gallons of ethanol a year. Ace Ethanol president Neal Kemmet says the Oshkosh plant will be renamed Fox River Valley Ethanol.
