Josh Perkins headed to Gonzaga

The Gophers were in Perkins' top three, but all signs point to the fact that they are more interested in other point guards available.

As expected, Colorado point guard Josh Perkins committed to Gonzaga on Saturday morning.

The Gophers were among Perkins' top 3 finalists, but by all accounts had cooled off on the Huntington Prep senior. Minnesota is also recruiting floor generals Tyus Jones, Lourawls Nairn and Alex Robinson for that class, all of whom seem to be high priorities.

Perkins announced his decision in dramatic fashion, appearing on Denver's NBC affiliate station and committing to Gonzaga coach Mark Few on live television.
