Greetings from Target Center, where the Lynx will play Seattle in about an hour.
Good news for Lynx fans:
Veteran center Asjha Jones, out for much of camp and for the first two regular season games because of a blood deficiency discovered in her pre- camp physical, will make her Lynx debut tonight.
Jones will come off the bench at first, according to coach Cheryl Reeve. Reeve said she didn't think Jones – who had to battle through fatigue while her condition was being treated – would play more than 15 or so minutes.
Jones wasn't able to take part in a full practice until Tuesday. So she has two full practices and a shoot-around under her belt.
And that, Reeve said, is all the veteran needs. After all, she's seen just about everything in more than a decade of playing.
Meanwhile, Maya Moore is celebrating her 26th birthday today. We'll see how that is reflected in her final stats.
Have a good night.
