9: Andrea's Halo (Lindsay, Sheehan)118/12-1

10: Maywood Hope (Mojica, Rengstorf)118/2-1

MAYWOOD HOPE has the best finish of all the returning starters in this baby filly group. Expect to stay within range, with all the speed to her inside. BLUE MOON BELLE had a rough start in lone effort and deserves another chance. BLONDE RACHEL is first-time starter with a steady stream of works. Trainer Scherer is winning at a 27 percent clip with his newbies.

15: Cause to Wonder (Sanchez, Sharp)120/5-2

16: Tahkodha Belle (Canchari, McFadden)124/30-1

SAVED BY THE SWELL has been going in reverse since winning four back at this distance as the favorite. Facing softer could get her back to winner's circle. RAZIPAT gets back to the sod, after failed effort on the off track last out. Hard fought victory in last turf effort. ATILLA KATIE will be a key factor on the front, and looks every bit a contender at double-digit odds. SHESALILJOKESTER has been facing much better at Prairie Meadows on the dirt. Could prove tough if takes a liking to the grass.

7: Be My Shadow (Mawing, Lund)123/6-1

8: Allredetogo (Canchari, Canchari)123/20-1

HALF DOME DUDE is strictly the one to catch and one to beat, and will be a single on many Pick 4 tickets. SIMMSTOWN will be on the heels of the favorite from the start. Was runner-up to Half Dome Dude two back. VACANZA moves down in class and looms the late closing threat. Big chance to score the upset if pace gets too heated.

14: Blackhawk's Sis (Hamilton, Robertson)124/3-1

15: Fair Lady Miss (Thompson, Bravo)120/30-1

LOOKIN ATA RUNAWAY won in impressive fashion last out, drawing away from the field to a five-length victory. BLACKHAWK'S SIS has been second best last two out as the favorite. Talented enough to get back to the winner's circle for strong outfit. Stablemate LINE OF GRACE will be involved from the start, but so will many other speedsters. Going to have to really dig in deep to get the job done.

15: Breeze E Prado (Velazquez, Brinson)118/15-1

16: Twin Cities Magic (Velazquez, Scherer)118/12-1

SPEEDING KID has been second best in both starts, and will be doing better running late. CINCO STAR is first-time starter out of the Robertson barn, coming in with some strong works. NORTHERNBRILLANCE and WINTERS RUN will be tough if they get in off the also-entered list.

14: Whoabegone Bakery (Delgado, Rarick)123/30-1

15: Big Valiant (Delorme, McFadden)123/20-1

MOONLIGHT TA KELA has been excelling with the minor awards around two turns. Cutting back in distance might be what the doctor ordered. NEYMAR is another runner cutting back in distance. WHO LET DACAT OUT will be rolling late.

13: Teddy Time (Hamilton, Robertson)120/8-1

14: Paschal (Smith, McFarlane)120/20-1

SIR SEARSUCKER might enjoy running longer but should benefit from brisk fractions to close on. Confirmed closer will show up, hopefully before the clock runs out. A P IS LOOSE is the local favorite but might have seen his better days. Maybe has one more left. TEDDY TIME had a great June on the local track but has been going backward since. Another runner who would enjoy a swift pace.

6: Smooth Chiraz (Loveberry, Bravo)121/8-1

7: Bourbon Cowboy (Velazquez, Boyce)121/4-1

8: Pricelesscommodity (Sanchez, Padilla)119/6-1

Evenly matched field in the H.B.P.A. Sprint Stakes. If you give a mulligan to ADENS DREAM's turf effort last out, the gelding looks pretty tough on the front end. Going to have to fend off a few others for first half-mile but might have enough left in the tank to pull off the mild upset. BOURBON COWBOY will come off the pace and would love nothing more than a heated pace duel. Easy winner last out as the favorite. SMOOTH CHIRAZ went gate-to-wire last out in the Minnesota Sprint Championship. Alert gate breaker lures Loveberry back to ride.

10: MJagermeister (Ramgeet, Lund)122/4-1

11: Smooth Criminal (Mojica Jr., Silva)120/50-1

The Shakopee Juvenile is the race everyone's been waiting for. AMY'S CHALLENGE is strictly the horse to watch and beat. The filly scored a 91 Beyer figure in her lone race, top speed figure in the nation for two-year-olds. She won by 16½ lengths over the boys. This looks to be a special horse, and has bigger days ahead of her if she wins. SOUL OF DISCRETION is no slouch. Won by 13 lengths in lone effort, and scored an 85 Beyer figure, top 15 nationwide. Many bettors will be playing this sharp second choice. Then we have MR. JAGERMEISTER. Won by over 15 lengths last out, and has been spruced up with a couple of morning bullet workouts. Tough not to put some money on him as the probable third choice.

12: Hurricane Force (Loveberry, Robertson)120/5-2

13: Kilroy (Loveberry, Litfin)123/20-1

HURRICANE FORCE tries sprinting on the turf for the first time in his brief career, but speed figures tower over the field. Career-high speed number was routing on the grass. FRISCO had a rough beginning out of the gate in lone turf event but managed to muscle his way up for show dollars. Could prove tough with clean start. SMARTY PARTY PAPA and SWORD OF DAVID merit respect as win contenders.

11: Smarty Party (Loveberry, Anderson)124/10-1

SIOUX APPEAL takes massive plunge in class from stakes race to bottom-level claimers. Appears the one to beat as the cream of the crop for the Robertson barn. Look for BLAZING ANGEL, NATALIES STORM and LA PETITE CHERI to duke it out for the second spot.

POVERTY FLATS has banged heads with softer on the lead, and will try to sneak away from the group if unchallenged. Stablemates SOMERSET ALLIE and SCRUMPY TOWN will be on the prowl of our top choice, and ready to pounce if front runner can't keep up the pace. BECKERCOUNTYCHROME is a first-time starter out of the Valerie Lund barn. Works suggest he is cranked to go.
