Quick, name someone who has won both a National Book Award and been inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. It's "World According to Garp" author John Irving.
The best-selling novelist, who also won an Oscar for his screenplay for "The Cider House Rules," will appear at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 in Minneapolis to read from his newest novel, "Last Night in Twisted River," which hits stores Oct. 27.
The reading will be at the Suburban World Theater, 3022 Hennepin Av. S. Tickets, $30.25 plus tax, are available only at Magers & Quinn bookstore (3038 Hennepin Av. S., Minneapolis, 612-822-4611) and include admission to the reading and a signed copy of Irving's new novel.
