The Vikings are getting in a light practice this morning before the players get the green light to leave town for the bye week, and the new guy, offensive tackle Jake Long, has joined them on the practice field.
Long, who officially signed this morning, was wearing No. 72 at practice.
Seven Vikings players did not participate in the practice. They were wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Jarius Wright, guard Brandon Fusco, tight ends Rhett Ellison and MyCole Pruitt, outside linebacker Anthony Barr, and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd. There will be no injury report today.
There was some good news as rookie tight end David Morgan, who missed the past two games with a knee injury, returned to practice today.
