J.P. Parise: Zach would fit right in with Rangers

While the Devils and Rangers have an intense series going, free agent-to-be Zach Parise's talkative father has gone on record as saying his son -- captain of the Devils, by the way -- would "fit right in" on the Rangers, wrote Arthur Staple of Newsday..

J.P. Parise, the former North Stars standout, also said Zach likes Rangers coach John Tortorella, who was an assistant coach on the U.S. Olympic team in Vancouver.

Zach Parise is first and foremost on the minds of Wild fans, who would love to see him join their offensively-challenged team.

J.P.'s timing does seem quite odd, given that it's the middle of two huge rivals playing in the Eastern Conference finals, but that's J.P.
