Arts & crafts stenciling

"Mastering the Scary Stencil" is for owners of Craftsmans and Prairie School homes, as well as old house lovers and preservationists. The hands-on workshop will demonstrate various stenciling techniques used on walls, curtains and table linens often found in Arts & Crafts period homes, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15, Mill City Museum, 704 S. 2nd St., Mpls. Fall creations

Design and assemble autumn-themed decor at Tonkadale workshops this month. "Pine Cone Chandelier" demonstrates how to create a hanging pine cone decoration, 10 a.m. Oct. 15.
