Hundreds of people are expected to attend a memorial next weekend for Mandy Matula, the 24-year-old from Eden Prairie whose body was recently discovered after she was missing for six months.

The memorial will take place at 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, which can hold more than 4,000 people. The family says anyone is welcome to remember Matula, whose disappearance drew hundreds of friends, family, former University of Minnesota Duluth classmates and strangers to searches for her body. More than 800 people on a Facebook event say they'll attend the memorial.

Matula was last seen May 1 with her ex-boyfriend David Roe, 24. He fatally shot himself in the head in the police parking lot the next day when called in for questioning.

Despite dozens of searches, few leads or evidence surfaced. Her body was discovered Oct. 26 in a park a half an hour north of St. Cloud, where Roe attended college. Authorities say she was killed in the head with a single bullet.
