Hennepin County's bike plan, first produced in 1997, needs a revamp. So the county is partnering with the Three Rivers Park District and other cities to gather resident input.

Feedback is needed on:

• Shaping the vision and priorities for biking.

• Preferences for bikeway types (bike lanes, trails, etc.).

• Barriers, such as infrastructure/physical concerns (no bike lanes, too many hills) or personal/social concerns.

"This plan will be used to shape the future of bicycling in Hennepin County. That's no small task, considering we're home to some of the best bikeways in the country," Hennepin County Commissioner Peter McLaughlin said.

Three Rivers Board Chair John Gunyou added, "I encourage people to ... share their feedback about where they like to bike and how biking in our communities can be even better."
